Blog Stage 8

Today, I want to share my opinion about my colleague's article about our voting system in the USA. In America, we count not only vote for people but also electoral college vote. It is sometimes helpful to count the vote from electoral college, but mostly it is not. I firmly agree with my colleague's opinion about the voting system. He mentioned that  "Most of the time we do not know at all who these people are, or if we really can trust our decision, which again we should all give our vote by ourselves, and not by these representatives." It is true that the electoral college is an important structure for our nation, but as my colleague mentioned on his article that we mostly do not know about them, and it is important to the nation to see the importance of the popular vote. As everybody knows that our last primary vote was a great example. The rate of the popular vote for Clinton was higher than the Trump, but electoral college chose Trump, and he got elected. This is awful to some other country, because like in South Korea, we count only popular vote for the primary election. I think our government should develop our current voting system to make a better society.
